Let's start a BIG GIFT thread
I need ideas for LARGE gifts just to make it look like a lot under the tree. Not expensive, just packaged largely!
I am sure I am not the only Mom looking to plump up the piles under the tree this year.
Any suggestions?

Just save/ask for large boxes (computer boxes, printer boxes, etc.) Pack something small in the huge boxes. You can nest boxes if you really want to mess with DC, too....

Re: Let's start a BIG GIFT thread
Disney store has Barbie sized Princess dolls and they are always on sale!
Likewise I got a pack of Barbie and her Sisters at Target last week for $35.
Art kits, from Michaels (Coupons!) and Target are usually bug boxed, but inexpensive.

Crafts sets as well. I noticed Target had some Highlight Clipboard witg a bunch of stickers and puzzles on clearance. It was in a plastic case, medium size. And there was also Melissa and Doug coloring sets that were on clearance and it was a big box. They were like $4-$6.

The Imaginext Big City Rescue set (or something like that). Its on sale at TRU right now for 39.99. HOURS of fun, and HUGE, but relatively inexpensive.

Re: Let's start a BIG GIFT thread
OMG, I just laughed so much when I read this. My husband keeps telling me we need to find some big things for my DD. We have a bunch of stuff for my DS, that are pretty big and nothing big for DD. Of course DD's gifts, she 6, are just more expensive. I told DH this is the year she learns big things come in small packages, but he insists we get a couple big boxes.

DS had had to learn that one already! Last year he got a 3DS and while its not crazy expensive. My rule is 1 bigger ticket item (cost wise) and thats it!
This year DH and I are not agreeing on the larger item for DS (who turns 6 days before christmas!)
