When to start
Solids? I get the "follow you baby's cues" thing but when did you start. And when baby IS ready how much? A whole jar? Half? What veggies to start with? How long after veggies did u wait for fruit? Did you stop oatmeal/rice when u started solids

When to start
Anytime after 4 mons I would start.
I just added a new food after 3 days. Never stopped and old food. And I never had an order if what to try next. Just pick and go.

Re: When to start
We started cereal at 4.5 months and veggies about a month later. He never took to the green veggies (go figure!) so we mostly stuck to carrots and squash. We would just feed him until he started refusing the spoon. We didn't stop the rice cereal/oatmeal... it was more like we alternated for each mealtime. In fact, DS is 3 now and Gerber oatmeal is still one of his favorite meals!

Re: When to start
We started at 4 months because DD fit all the recommendations of when to start solids. We did start with rice cereal and oatmeal and then earths best stage 1. She would only eat half of that little jar at first.

Re: When to start
We tried around 4.5 months and DS wasn't ready. Tried again just before 5 months and he was ready.
I fed as much as he wanted. We started with cereal, I think, but quickly moved onto jars. In the beginning, that was about 1/2 a jar but then he started taking a full jar.
You can start fruits or veggies and can mix them up. You don't have to do all fruits, then all veggies. Just wait 3 days in between new foods to check for allergies.
I never stopped cereal. DS is 10 months old and still gets cereal b/c he likes it.

When to start
I started at 6 months. For the first few weeks she would really only eat a few bites if anything. I started with oatmeal, then went straight on to fruits and veggies in no particular order (banana, avocado, squash, sweet potato were some of the first). She continued eating oatmeal until maybe 10 months when she was pretty much off of purees. It was a favorite during times when she would refuse most other things. I never measured, just eyeballed and if she finished it all easily I would offer some more.

Re: When to start
I started at 5 months. Doctor gave ok at 4 but I didn't feel she was ready. We started with veggies, not grains (on doctor's recommendation). I made my own, so we just started with couple of spoonfuls. The first day might've been just one or so--whatever she took. And then gradually increased.
I eventually started making and freezing in cubes and would know how many ounces based on how many cubes.

When to start
DS was definitely interested in eating and the doctor gave us the go ahead at 5 months. We started with oatmeal and quickly added vegggies and fruit...he loves everything!

Re: When to start
At 4 months, the Dr. gave me the ok to start solids, and told me to do he following: 2 Tbsp. of baby cereal mixed with warm formula and a tablespoon or two of fruit puree until they got used to it, a couple of days. I gave them this at breakfast and dinner. After they ate their solids, they drank formula. Some pediatricians recommend giving formula first, then feeding solids 2 hours later. Some people start veggies at this time, too. Their first fruit was bananas, then apples, pears, peaches, mangoes etc until they tasted them all.
This was the recommendation by my pediatrician. Check with yours to see if they have a chart/routine to hand out to their patients. Mine did, and it was so helpful.

When to start
We started with solids at 4 months. We started with cereal oatmeal then rice. We introduced the first cereal and after 4 days introduced the new cereal. After mastering cereal ( increasing from 1 tablespoon up to 4 each day,) we started introducing the veggies then the fruits. Ped advised this order so LO would eat both and not only want the the sweet fruits. As far as vegetables go they advised started with carrots and squash then go to the green beans and peas and then sweet potatoes. After all the veggies I went to the fruits. I would add the veggie or fruit to the cereal and would put a few spoonfuls on the first three days and if they tolerated it and had no reaction on the 4th day I would give the whole container. You can ask your ped, I'm sure they have a plan when it comes to introducing solids and the order to do it

When to start
We started at 4 months with oatmeal mixed with his formula. It tasted god awful so I added a bit of applesauce to make it more appealing. We just slowly grew from there. Trying different fruits first. Then veggies. Try something for 3-4 days to make sure there's no reaction. Then move onto something new. No particular order
