So jealous! I am making SURE I do this for Mockingjay!
I just watched Hunger Games last night though and re-read Catching Fire. I'm so ready, but I have to wait until SUNDAY to see it. AHHHH the torture.

Aw really? I think he kills it as Peeta! The casting was phenomenal- Philip Seymour Hoffman as Plutarch Heavensbee! They left very little out from the book and really stuck to the story, which is so rare. I loved it. It was so much like I pictured it in my head.
I can't wait for the third.

I couldn't get into him as Peeta in the first movie, bc in my mind Peeta looked so different...but I was really liking him in this movie!
LOVE Philip Seymour Hoffman as Plutarch AND Finnick and Johanna were perfect too!!!

I went to the double feature too!!! I LOVED it!!!!
I thought the casting was fantastic and the way he told the story was amazing. Visually the movie was perfection! I'm a little upset they left out a couple little plot parts but it was still a near perfect adaptation. Thank GOD Francis Lawrence took over. After seeing the first one and comparing it to the 2nd, the first movie looks like a big ball of crap!

I loved Johanna, too! I could not put my finger on where I knew her from- she was in Suckerpunch and Saved!, but I really remember her from Donnie Darko!

The only big thing I can really think of that they left out was when she met the refugees in the cabin and had to climb back over the electric fence which was now back on and hurt herself. I would've liked to see that scene, especially her trying to play it off like she was just coming back from town to the Peacekeepers waiting for her.

Re: Catching Fire
I saw it last night and thought it was SO well done. DH always thinks these books turned movies are so dumb and just a fad but I dragged him out and he really enjoyed it! It was very good!

Re: Catching Fire
I loved it. Thought it was better than the first one and was very similar to the book. Casting was awesome. The only thing that I felt was lacking, in both movies, was the development of Katniss and Peeta's relationship. They didn't show them train together with Haymitch and Gale's help before the reaping, how they shared their "talents" with each other (Peeta's paintings of their first games), or how they spent their entire last day before the quarter quell together on the roof. I know they can't include every detail but I felt like they didn't really show how close they had become.
