Shampoo recommendations
In need of a good shampoo. I am using Nexus, but sometimes makes my hair feel heavy. I highlight my hair blonde. It's thick, long and a little wavy. Just want something that cleans well and makes it feel lighter. Most shampoos I am finding put a coating on it or make it heavier.

I like Paul Mitchell Forever Blonde. I also highlight my hair and it keeps the color bright too. Ulta has decent 2 for 1 sales on it often.

I have brown hair and use the John Frieda Brilliant Brunette, but they also have a blond version. I am very happy with the shampoo and conditioner.

I did use that, but ran out. Got a bunch free when I tried out L'Oreal products for them. Man, I miss working next to the L'Oreal building when I did some testing.

That's what I use, too. It smells so good, too- like rosemary.

Re: Shampoo recommendations
For Shampoo I use Redken for color treated hair, not the one for blond (it has something with color depositing agents in it). I use this conditioner . It is expensive but a little goes a longgg way. I bought the $42 bottle in October and I still have. It conditions my hair without weighing it down. I also went a little blonder.
The other thing is, I know you mentioned you put your hair in a pony tail all the time. I would try and stop, especially when it is wet. It creates a lot of breakage. Also try Moroccan oil. It isn't heavy if you use very little.
