Getting pregnant with one tube....is it really dangerous?

I am at peak ovulation. Dr. Kofinas advised me not to try this month, as I will ovulate from my ovary that no longer has a tube. He felt it's dangerous. Dr. Keningsberg told me I could try, because the risk of another ectopic is 10%.

I don't want to waste this month, as we are trying a few months on our own before we move back to IVF. Any advice?

My sister's friend only has one tube and got pregnant the first month she tried 3 times with no problems.

Thanks! I was hoping to hear this. I had an ectopic last year and I am nervous about having another one....but the risk is so low that I want to give this a shot.

i had an ectopic and lost a tube and this was a big concern of mine too. i think as long as you are monitored very very closely you will be ok. if they catch the ectopic early you can get the methotrexate shot. i know it's scary but well worth it once you end up with your miracle baby! good luck!
