Re: What would you make?

I went to a shower recently where several of the people couldn't have gluten.

They had it at a Mexican place and served all the traditional items one would get at a Mexican restaurant.

I'm not super familiar though with what does/doesn't have gluten in it, but maybe if you set up stations where they could serve themselves, it would be safer?

I'm not familiar with Gluten Free either but if you can do Taco night I think the make up your own taco is a great idea. I do that about twice a month and it's always a hit!

Just keep in mind, if your meatballs have breadcrumbs obviously that contains gluten. Make sure your marinade doesn't have soy sauce since that also has gluten.

Maybe do some veggies and dip or cheese and crackers including a gluten free cracker. You could do a balsamic marinated chicken or lemon chicken. Maybe rice pilaf and salad or a green veggie. I think applegate makes a decent gluten free chicken nugget that you could have on hand just in case.

Re: What would you make?

Thanks everyone. I am going to make empanadas and arroz con pollo. I will also have salad. Tortilla chips with guac and cheese and crackers for snacks. The child that is gluten free is my bf's. She happens to be super picky to begin with and has been GF for about 7 months. When I have prepared100% GF meals for her and all of us (my kids too) she often doesn't like it. He always has GF food for her wherever he goes so if she doesn't like the chicken and rice she will have something of her own.
