Looking for a pediatrican in nassau. Very small practice.
I posted a few weeks back and appreciate those who helped out. Weve realized though that we need to have someone in Nassau.
A must is a small practice or sole practitioner!!!
The next thing which is important is Sunday hours and evening hours on Mondays and/or Fridays would be helpful too. I know thats very specific but thats what we need unfortunately. Atleast one of the three days, monday, friday with evening or Sunday day hours is a must.
TIA! and if you could add a few words about why you like your pediatrician, that would be awesome!

Re: Looking for a pediatrican in nassau. Very small practice.
Dr. Laurence Miller in East Meadow.
He is wonderful with children, really knows each patient and is so easy to get an appointment. The office staff is accommodating and pleasant. I like a sole practitioner in that ONE dr sees my kids so they feel comfortable and the dr. gets to know them as well as know me and my concerns.
He is eccentric, looks a little like Dr. BRown from from Back to the Future, but is Johns Hopkins educated and a wonderful ped.
Good luck

We go to Dr. Miller as well. You described him exactly as I would. He is brilliant. The only drawback is that parking lot. I've seen homeless people hanging around and I don't always feel 100% safe, but that's just me. The staff is amazing!! I Evelyn the nurse and the lady at the desk is so nice and helpful.
ETA: dr. miller has literally called me at 11pm on a Saturday night. He has calling hours in the a.m. We just love him!

i triple Dr. Silverstein. he's the sole practitioner and has sunday hours (closed saturdays...he's orthodox). i absolutely LOVE him! he knows everything about my son. i never have to remind him. and he's never afraid to put me in my place...which sometimes i need.

I went to him when I was a kid and I will be bringing my son to him when he is born! He literally saved my sisters life as my moms obgyn sucked and made an incision way too small for mys sister (who was almost three months premature) and she stopped breathing. Dr. Grillo brought her back to life, and had her rushed to Winthrop via ambulance. and now 23 years later she is an electrical engineer.

Honestly...he sort of saved my son's life too. He made the referrals after he was born that no one in the hospital made. Thank God everything worked out, but he really took care of us. He's also super chill and easy to talk to!

My sister repaid him by being a complete and total beast every time she visited the office and even kicked him right in the groin one time

Pediatric healthcare of LI in bellmore has multiple Dr but for well visits you can just see one regular dr. They have an office in hewlet as well and have hours at one or both 365 data a year. I have bought my older daughter there since she was 4 (she will be 15 in a few weeks) and bring my other 2 DC there as well.
