Those Who Used Dr. Zapantis-Billing Related
Every time I try to talk to them about discrepancies in my bills they refuse to tell me who actually does the billing and Lisa just says ok I'll pass the message along. However, I still continue to get bills and am sooooo beyond frustrated that I don't know who's actually doing them so I can inquire. I have never ever not paid my co-pay for example for both sono and blood when I'm there and still am told I owe $, etc. I just went through my FET there. Any advice?

I have no advice, but I just got a bill for 20.00 and I have paid all my co-payscfor my visits, or I paid cash for the visits that weren't covered.

YUP, same problem. My bill that just came is $281. I had this problem since months ago when they were charging me $20 instead of $15 for copays. Then I didn't pay copays for a while so everything can even out and now I owe so much. Everytime I bring it up Lisa says they are working on it. Its annoying. I will be requesting my records on Monday so I'm wondering if I'm going to have to pay it then. Its so annoying bc I have been bringing up this issue with them for months. I'm gonna go through the bill and look at the dates and see if they are charging me for dates I already paid. ANNOYING

Thanks ladies for your replies! It's so annoying that as soon as I "graduate" with them (any day) my attitude is going to change and I'm going to have to truly speak up(demand) answers. If Lisa gives me the we're working on it honey one more time I am going to Dr. Z and complaining! The invoice says for billing questions contact them but then Lisa "claims" someone does the bills. Maybe she's really the one who does them, IDK.

I am not a patient there, but medical billing is insane. I always make sure to check my EOBs and to keep detailed records of all the bills I have received and paid. Always pay by CC or check so you have proof that a bill was paid. If the issue is not resolved, I would/have dispute(d) it with my insurance company.

Yeah its frustrating. She says she contacts them but who really knows. I'm done there anyways after I get my records. So I will have to just take out my years worth of receipts and match them up to the bill. The problem is the bill doesn't even go back that far.
