Classroom teachers please take my poll

My principal ties things such as tenure and ratings to the class passage rate. Class, not Regents.

The higher the better obviously.

If less than roughly 80% of our students fail our class we are, let's just say, questioned.

I was just told that if I want tenure many more have to pass. So, I guess I have to pick between my principles and my career, because I teach some of the weakest students in NYC.

I am trying to dig through the APPR crap to see if this is okay.

Just trying to gauge how common it is.

I can't go to the UFT rep.

I am not NYC. My APPR is determined by student growth (pretest -> Regents), observations, and professional development.
