Anyone's DC want to sleep like this?
So lately DD has wanted to sleep in a sitting position. Kind of like the way those pillows allow people to sleep on planes when you rest it in the snack tray and you can lean forward to sleep. This seems really weird to me. If we are laying in bed together and she wakes up she'll try to fall back asleep sitting up and bending forward until she hits something she can rest on. In her crib I have caught her asleep sitting forward resting her head on the bumpers. I think this is causing some of my "going to sleep" problems because I think she just doesn't like laying down. Any thoughts?

Does she have a pillow? Stuffed animals to sleep with? Maybe she's not comfortable? I'd just try other things to see if she can get more comfortable, but overall, I wouldn't worry too much about this.

Re: Anyone's DC want to sleep like this?
My DD sleeps like this. I think she started to do this when she learned to sit and then this is how she would lay back down. In the beginning I use to put her on her back after she was asleep, but she would just do it again so I let her be. She still sleeps like this, but now she can tuck her legs under her and then just flip on her side.

Could she be teething and not want to lay flat bc of that?

Hailey does that too. She falls asleep on me a lot facing me. IDK if that's why. But She will lean forward basically folding herself in half. I've never let her fall asleep like that tho

That's how mine fell asleep on me this morning. She couldn't get comfortable but once she folded she passed out.

What about letting her try belly sleeping?

Thanks for your input. I'm not worried as much as I'm just wondering how she could possibly be comfortable like that. I was thinking maybe teething too. I guess it's ok to leave her be?

Dd2 sleeps in half like that lol. It's like she's sitting up then lays her head down but doesn't move her bottom half. I just leave. She eventually moves.

my DD kind of sleeps like that. She sits and then flops over onto her face, keeping her butt up into the air. If she falls asleep on me, she sits in my lap facing me and then leans her head forward until her head and chest are against my chest. It definitely looks weird, but hey, whatever works to get this kid to sleep...
