IVF ladies...multiple IVFs, DOR, low amh, poor responders...
I was wondering...
When you got your BFP, what was the protocol that worked for you? Clomid? Femara? BCP? Steroids? Antibiotics?Any other meds? Were you on bedrest?
If you did multiple IVFs, what was the protocol that gave you the best quality embryos? Any supplements?

I did in this order
Clomid
Clomid w iui
Letrozole w iui
Injections iui
Injections iui
Ivf
Ivf (this time I was put on metformin and dh on clomid, transferred a 6aa and 6ab and now have my dd)

If you don't mind me asking...Do you have pcos or diabetes? Or was the metformin for egg quality?

I have neither. After the first Ivf didn't work re said it was embryo (not just egg) quality. He put me on metformin and dh on clomid to increase the embryo quality. It really worked. Also, I always responded really well to meds, had tons of eggs and dh's counts were always amazing. It came down to quality.

I didn't know that drs prescribe metformin just for egg quality. I thought it was for pcos or insulin resistance.
I wonder if that's something I should be taking. Especially now that we are in our own. Hmmmmm. Dr google here I come.

I had:
clomid 3 cycles
clomid double dose attempt at IUI 2 cycles but got me very sick each time so never made to IUI part so switched to
letrozole 3 IUI cycles, triggering with Ovidrel - nada
IVF - no Lupron protocol: I responded very well to all the meds and the tweaks during the cycle (menopor, gonal f, ganarelix). triggered with HCG shot and something else (tho original plan was Ovidrel). they retrieved 27 eggs, 13 were fertilized w/ICSI (DH has lowish count) and 7 made to freezing all very good rating (not sure what). They implanted the best one AA I think 5dt, is that right?
after the live IVF cycle didn't work, I was devastated. So started researching high and low any and every possible non implantation issue. After speaking to RE I added baby aspirin to already taking prenatals. Then had water sono, they discovered a polyp. Had surgery. Then went on break off of TTC.
Once in sept went back to RE they had me do additional genetic testing which brought up the MTHFR thing so I started taking extra folic acid (800mg). Then had FET.
FET worked. Now preg 17 weeks.

Yep. A lot of REs prescribe it for egg quality.

Good luck! It obviously helped me, but full disclosure it was brutal. I started on 1500mg 2 extended release pills of 750. It actually made me projectile vomit! I had to cut back to 1 pill a day, but that was enough to make a difference.
Start off with a lower dosage and work your way up. IMO.

Dr. Kofinas put me on Metformin last month. He diagnosed me with genetic thrombophilia, and to my understanding, the Metformin would address issues I have had with implantation/clotting.
