Dr. & Hospital Recommendations (Nassau)
Hi Ladies,
I just recently moved to Bellmore and am looking for a new Gyno. My husband and I have been ttc for a year and just started fertility testing. I have been very unhappy with my Gyno lately, so I'm looking to change. I am looking for a Dr. that delivers at a good hospital in Nassau (I'm unsure of which hospitals are best). We may have male fertility issues, so I'd really like someone that is very knowledgeable about that. If anyone has a recommendation for me I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!!

Dr. & Hospital Recommendations (Nassau)
There is Lauren Bashian on Merrick Rd. & Newbridge Rd. I just switched to her and she is awesome, and she delivers at NSLIJ (recently redone, great hospital and awesome maternity ward).

I'd recommend NSLIJ in Manhasset as well. They also have one of the best NICU's. South Nassau was completely redone too. I am not 100% on this, but I do not think they have as reputable (if any) NICU (god forbid it should be needed).
I see Dr. Trangone in Manhassett. It's a great smaller practice - he only has one partner who I hear is also fantastic. For what it's worth, I have a few nurse friends at NSLIJ and that is who they recommend and told me a lot of the nurses and female OBs at LIJ use him too :)

Not sure who is affiliated with Winthrop, but Winthrop has an insane l&d and nicu as well... they are actulaly rated the best on LI.

A friend of mine and my cousin used Dr. Dilena located in Garden City. He is affiliated with Winthrop and they are both very happy with his practice. Good luck on your search!

Dr. Seraji in Lynbrook!!! He's phenomenal and I believe delivers in Mercy, south Nassau and winthrop

My sister use Dr. Penman Zandieh in Bethpage. He delivers at Winthrop. He is great (I used to see as well when I lived on LI).

South Nassau does have a NICU and it is very nice and great care there. My nephew was in there. Its a level 2 NICU, as NS, LIJ, Mercy and Winth have a Level 3 Nicu. I got to Horizon OB Gyn in RVC. I love it there. They mostly deliver at South Nassau, but also can deliver at Mercy if they feel longer term NICU is needed.

I see Dr. Janine Morris- Rush. She has offices in Great Neck and Woodbury and I delivered at NS Manhasset. I was high risk and ended up with a scary situation- she was awesome.
I also live in Bellmore- welcome to the neighborhood! :)

I see Dr, Dilena, he is very good and very thorough. He is affiliated with Winthrop. He has 3 other drs in the practice which all come highly recommended.

Dr. Plancher in Garden City, affiliated with Winthrop. Great bedside manner and just a great doc all around. He delivered both of my kids and I can't say enough good things about him!

This is who I use as well. She delivered me in late August and will again this summer. Had an awesome experience with her practice except for the wait times (can be long).

NSLIJ has been one of the most reputable hospitals in the country for child birth since before I was born. My mom was high risk so delivered there living in South Suffolk, East Islip. I too live in Islip but My RE is up there and after having my myomectomy there and knowing I have to have a c-section, when I decided I hated my OB-GYN I switched to a doctor up there, because I want yo recover from the c-section in the Katz Women's Hospital, it's amazing.

Dr. Morris Rush is part of a group of doctors at Preferred Women's health. They have two offices and all the drs in the group are great. I also live in Bellmore and this group delivered both of my daughters at North Shore Manhasset. I just had my second last Feb and the rooms are like hotel rooms. Great drs and great hospital.
