Minimal baby stuff!!
I have very limited room in my home for oversized baby stuff that probably won't be used for more than 3 months anyways. If there were 3 items that you couldn't live without, what would they be?

Minimal baby stuff!!
Bassinet/crib and swing. That is all you need in the beginning.
Edit. And a rocker or glider....

Re: Minimal baby stuff!!
When my DD was born, we lived in a very tiny 1 bedroom basement apt. (We luckily were only there with her one month before closing on our house). We had a bassinet on wheels that we could wheel from the bedroom to the living room. We had a swing set up in the living room. And a changing table set up in the bedroom. You really don't need a changing table, but it gave is a place to store all the diapers, creams, burp cloths, etc, which you do use in the beginning.
The only other thing that is a seat/bouncer that the baby can hang out in wherever you may be. I used to bring ours into the bathroom with me so I could watch her from the shower. Some of them fold flat for storage.
ETA, as they get older, some type of high chair is absolutely necessary.

Agreed. We used our rock n play as a bassinet for 7 weeks. Now even at almost 7 months I have it my bathroom so I can shower if dd is not napping in her crib. It also folds flat.

Minimal baby stuff!!
We had the baby born babysitter balance- it's a bouncy chair but folds flat. I didn't have a swing, another bouncer, an exersaucer or jumperoo. My kid survived. We also had a co sleeper mini that I used in our bedroom for the first few months before he moved to the crib. We had a changing pad on the dresser instead of a changing table.
The other thing I liked was the tiny love travel play mat- it's folds up rather easily so it can slide under the couch or a bed.
We got a high chair later- I didn't want to store it for 6 months and we had some gift cards.
I also didn't have a rocker or glider or anything. We nursed on my bed or on the couch, loved the boppy.

Re: Minimal baby stuff!!
Rock and play sleeper. Bouncer chair Swing I know they have sonething called a mamaroo. Not sure if it's any good but it could take the place of the swing and bouncer. It's nice to have a crib even in the beginning, but if you really have no room a mini co sleeper is a great option. I have one abd it's really small. Changing table is nice but you can get away without one. You will need somewhere to store all the baby items, burp clothes, diapers, clothes, etc...
Get a space saver high chair when you need one around 4-6 months.
As someone else mentioned, the play mats are so great. I started using it when they where pretty young. Get a small one that fold up.

rock n play and a swing
we were in a 1 bedroom for DD and held off on getting swing because we were worried about space and when she was 1 week old we were running out to buy one. it really was the best thing we had to put her in next to the rock n play.

Re: Minimal baby stuff!!
I feel like if you don't have it, you can't miss it- kwim? Everyone I know said we HAD to have a swing, it was a total lifesaver, etc, etc. I don't doubt it's awesome, but we never had one and therefore we never missed it.
The rock n play was a must have for us. DD slept in it and hung out in it. We had a bouncy chair but rarely used it. We have a low dresser with a changing pad on it- no need for a separate changing table. I considered not getting a glider, but I am SO glad we did!
For down the road... We have a space saver high chair that attaches to a regular chair. I couldn't have gone without her exersaucer or jumper. Yes, they took up half my living room but that was the only way to safely and happily contain her for quite some time while I did quick chores. Wish she still fit in them, lol.

Re: Minimal baby stuff!!
We had a pace saving swing that also vibrated for DS, it took up very little room and served two purposes
The rock N play folds up and is a great place for baby to sleep
Also for a high chair we used one that attached to the table/counter so we didnt have to waste the space
I would also say a play mat for tommy time/stimualtion, again this folds up when not in use so does not take much room

Re: Minimal baby stuff!!
rock n play, bouncey seat, swing (even a travel one)
And it doesn't take up much room since it can be put away...an activity mat.

Re: Minimal baby stuff!!
We have a 1 bedroom apartment and dd is one year old. At birth, the most vital were
1) rock n play 2) flat sleeping surface (we had a bassinet, then moved up to a mini crib) 3) changing table - with open shelves. We fit 3 bins on each shelf, and all of her clothes fit into these! Which is good b/c she has no other furniture at all!
I also want to add that we got really nice looking bins from target and put them in our bookcase. That's where we keep her bibs, burp cloths, blankets, and other stuff that we need to get to regularly.
We also got these great over-the-door storage things that have 4 deep, pockets. We put them on the back of every door and kept all her towels, washcloths, sheets, etc. in them. They have them at BBB and bru.

Minimal baby stuff!!
I got a swing frame that the graco infant carrier attaches to... it folds flat. baby isn't here yet so I can't give any other input about it but I read that it's also good because if baby is sleeping in car seat you don't have to disturb them.

Re: Minimal baby stuff!!
swing jumperoo bouncer
high chair is definitely something i couldnt live without either, but you can get the space saver chair which goes right onto a regular chair so i dont include that since it doesnt take up room at all
jumperoo is obviously for when the baby is older, but i COULD NOT LIVE without that thing!!!! especially being a working mom! i needed someplace to contain my son while i got ready for work in the morning lol
