No blastocysts

I guess the 1500 I spent on the HGH didn't work Chat Icon

At least I have nine frozen day three embies. Hopefully one will stick. Dr wants to transfer 3-4. I'm nervous about 4 but will take the chance and do 3. Ugh this blows!

Don't let the lack of blasts get you down. Many of us have successes from day 3 transfers. I'm a firm believer that embryos fare better in the body than in a lab.

I don't know your hx. Is there a reason they're pushing transferring 4 embryos?

Thank you. It's so frustrating to know I have egg quality issues at such a young age. It boggles my
Mind. And you're right 3dt do work for many!! He said 3-4 depending on my comfort level to give me a better chance. To be honest with you I'm not sure he's optimistic which is why he's suggesting that.

How old are you? Which practice are you using? I'm a bit surprised your RE is suggesting transferring 4 embryos. Have you had previous transfers? How many cells are your frozen embryos and is there fragmentation?

What ever you decide, know that 3dt absolutely can work Chat Icon

I know easier said than done, but try to remain optimistic. Who is to say, one of the ones that was frozen on Day 3 will not become a blastocyst. Lots of ladies on here have had success with 3dt - so they definitely do work.

I think we have similar number in terms of egg retrievals - I think all and all I had ~55 eggs retrieved in total from our 3 cycles. Maybe 40-45 of those fertilized. Out of 40+ fertilized eggs, only one little guy stuck - be optimistic that your one little guy or girl is frozen right now, waiting for your FET - Best of luck!

Thank you ladies. I am thirty and this is my fourth retrieval. Crazy I know. I was a little surprised at the suggestion of four embryos as well. I see Dr. Wang at SIRM and I trust him very much. I guess I'll have to sleep on this one!!

Sorry about none making it to day 5 but YAY to freezing 9 on day 3. You only need one. I know its hard to believe but I try to tell myself it only takes one. My RE is now suggesting 3 as well due to my 3 failed transfers and also suspecting embryo quality issues. I'm fine with putting back 3 at this point in the hopes of 1 sticking. Even though I feel like 1 sticking is still a long shot for me. I hope your FET gives you your baby.

He may have recommed 4 because maybe fragmented. How many did you transfer at previous cycles. I did 4 FRESH IVF's before my 5th cycle when I had twins. I was transfering 3 & 4 embryos at a time that they said were perfect & didnt work. Ya just never know, I say GO FOR IT!!

I agree.. My former RE said that they only transfer more than 2 if there is a risk to the embryo quality so I think Dr. Wang is thinking the right way. It is risky but I know you have transferred a few before with no luck so maybe this will be the key!
Quick question....
Dr. T said he will only freeze after day5 when they become blasts. They froze the 9 before blast stage or did they get to that point? I am just curious.

Thanks ladies. I'm definitely gonna go for it. What do I have to lose? We are doing a day three frozen transfer bc my progesterone was high otherwise we would've just transferred on day three so technically I will be doing a three day transfer.
