advice please!
im looking to make a goat cheese with fig and truffled honey appetizer
would you use a few sheets of fillo dough , a wonton wrapper, or something else in a mini muffin tin.
not sure whats best

advice please!
I would get the little frozen phyllo cups from the grocery store. Saves time and energy and their perfect for a bite size.

I actually don't use any dough--I just stuff the figs with goat cheese and drizzle the honey on top!

that sounds fantastic but I dont think I can find fresh figs anywhere in nyc this time of year.
and I need about 40 of them, so that can be pretty expensive

phyllo is a pain to work with in my opinion, so i agree with getting the pre-made cups.

also- you can do it on mini hard toasts/bruschetta like bread. I've had it that way before and it was delicious.

I like the frozen cups, they're easy to use and taste good.
What about using pizza dough and cutting small wedges. My sister does a similar pizza with a little arugula and goat cheese and drizzles honey on at the end and it's delicious.

I use them all the time....their made from the same brand that makes the sheets. Their layered and flake the same way it would if you made yourself.

what about wonton wrappers? I love using them for any type of tart-like app!
