Homemade and natural beauty products
If anyone uses natural products, please share what products/methods you use. I will share mine.
Oil cleansing method - To remove make up take couple of drops of castor oil and 4-5 drops of olive oil into my fingers and gently massage the face. After a minute, take a wash cloth soaked in hot water and place it on the face. when it cools, wipe the face. Rinse the wash cloth and repeat couple more times. This removes all the make up. The castor oil brand I use is the Palma Christie. It's hexane free and cold pressed. I love how clean my face feels when I do this..better than any other organic products I used.
No poo method - I went shampoo free for over a year couple of years ago and plan to get back to it when I finish the shampoo I am using now. Recipe is one table spoon of baking soda to a cup of hot or warm water. Store in a spray bottle. In the shower, spray the roots and massage the scalp. Don't use cold water as the baking soda won't dissolve in it. I love how clean my hair felt when I used this. Some people use vinegar as a conitioner but I never did.
Moisturizer - I love using nutiva organic coconut oil as a moisturizer. I use it on my face too except in the summer when I use a product with sunscreen in it. When I run out of coconut oil, I use olive oil.
Please share your natural methods and if you use any store bought products, please share brand names. Thanks!

Re: Homemade and natural beauty products
I use a mixture of white vinegar and cold water to rinse my hair. I have extremely thick hair & the shampoo never washes out entirely. It makes my hair very clean, shiny and soft! Just make sure to keep your eyes closed and rinse really well. Otherwise, you smell like salad I also make my own skin scrub out of sea salt and a little olive oil. It works really well!
