What is the best 7 year old girl's birthday party that you have been to in Nassau or western Suffolk? Trying to decide if we are doing a party. DD would like something different form what we have gone to so far. Looking for some new ideas.

We are in the midst of planning a 7th, and I haven't found anything super great to be honest. Cupcake Girlz looks cute, they make and decorate cupcakes, and their party room looks cute, but that is far from you (Farmingville). I go back and forth, but we are likely just doing it at home. I can do it exactly how I want at half the cost (if not more). We have the space, I have the creative genes, so it bothers me to waste $500 on a party.

I don't have the room to do it here or I would. I am at a loss. Her birthday is in June but many parties are at that time and I want to have it early bc her bday is Father's Day weekend, school getting out etc.

A horseback riding/pony party at a stable looks really fun, and we have never been invited to one of those, so I think it's a bit different. It's warm enough out around that time.

None of my older DDs friends have birthday parties anymore, but she still likes to have them. I like to keep things very simple...

When she turned 7, I took her and about six friends for mani/pedis and to the diner next door for lunch and cake afterwards. She's 8 now and for that, again, we had about six friends to see a movie and then they came back to our house for pizza and cake.

I would love to do this but every single girl in her class has had or is planning a full party per patents...as in 20-30 little girls and a big party...darling divas, bounce place, fake sleepover ( pj party with entertainment and dinner the pick up). I tried to do something small with my DD last year bc some did not have a party. She ended up with nothing bc the three people she invited couldn't do the same day. Despite trying to change it a few times. She had a few kids ask me why she didn't have one when they all did. Some asked me why she didn't have one. It would be hard bc one kid she must have is her best friend who is a boy to do something small.

Around here everyone seems to have a big party.

Dd wanted this but her birthday is in June and our town pool is open by then. I hate to do it there bc I worry parents will just drop off and I don't want to be responsible for 10-20 7 yr old girls at a pool. I would 100% go for this if her birthday was Oct-May.

A girl from my daughters class just had a pool party at a Hampton Inn. Unfortunately she got sick and we didn't make but I never would have thought they did parties.

What about looking into a cooking school or little chefs. Or a candy/chocolate store.

I hadn't really thought about food parties bc my Dd just outgrew a bunch of food allergies, but is lactose intolerant so pizza, ice cream etc is out. But maybe they have other things she could make. Will look into those suggestions
