K teachers, can you come in?
Work is going to be corrected in another color marker for the rest of their time in school. I think it's an excellent opportunity to talk about how everyone makes mistakes and that is how we learn.

Thank you, I agree. I just got concerned when another parent made me think it was not the norm to receive colored corrections. Teacher always put smiley or star regardless.

I correct work in markers as well... Honestly, I do it because afterwards I need to input all the answers into an analysis grid so the marker makes it easier for me to see... I agree with the above- have the conversation with your child and let it be known that its OK to make mistakes- we learn from them...
