Super Bowl Menu advice

Can you tell me what you think of our menu? My DH ALWAYS over orders and we have ridiculous leftovers. I refuse to do that again this year so let me know what you think about what we have and how much.
We are having 16 adults and 11 kids (plus we haven't had responses from 6 other adults and 7 kids but I don't expect they will all end up saying yes).
TIA!

Apps

Wings (how many? I won't even tell you how many my DH wants to get Chat Icon)
Pigs in a blanket
Guacamole/tostitos
Sausage bread
Chips

Dinner

Hero--how many feet?
Taco salad
Cole slaw
Meatball sliders
Mac and cheese (half tray?)
Chicken nuggets/fries for kids

What do you think?

I'd go with 100 wings
25-50 pigs in a blanket depending on size and if you think the kids would eat them too.
a bowl of guacamole
not sure about the hero size, i would think people would prefer the wings honestly so a smaller hero

as im reading through your list it does sound like a lot.... it just depends which ones you think will be big hit and which you think the kids will also pick at. the other stuff just do a small amount.

all sounds delicious though!!!

Super Bowl Menu advice

I would get 150 wings, about 50 pigs in the blanket and just a bunch of chips, salsa, guac, dips.

Then I would probably get a 5 foot hero, a big green salad and make a pot of chili with toppings or a couple of trays of baked ziti and of course the nuggets and fries for the kids.

3ft hero feeds about 8-10 ppl

i would get 2 heros ( go to Bj's and get a hero ring instead) it feeds more people and its like 27$ and you can always have left overs of that for the next day or so.

Re: Super Bowl Menu advice

I'd get a lot of wings, probably 75-100.

As for the hero, I think 6 feet should be good. You're having a lot of other food so I think everyone will be satisfied. The menu sound delicious!

Just chiming in on the mac and cheese. I've made it for SuperBowl several times, and I always do a full tray for 25ish people. You have a lot of other great food options, but in my experience, it tends to be very popular.

Re: Super Bowl Menu advice

Thanks for the advice!

Im going to do 6 feet of hero, 100 wings, and a full tray of mac n cheese (the half tray looked way too small and kids will probably eat it too).

Im sure we will have leftovers as usual but hopefully it will be less!

Re: Super Bowl Menu advice

My parents usually have 20 people and they order 250 wings
2 4 foot heros
make a big pot of chilli
salads
fruits
veggie spread
cheese spread

I am making slutty brownies. I made one batch and have to make another. (They are cookie layer, oreo layer, and brownie layer.)

I am not sure what other desserts are going to be there.

I know it is a little late but you usually get about 8 slices of hero for each foot of hero. So figure about 24 slices per 3ft. I personally never eat more than a piece of a hero at a party when there are a lot of other dips/things to eat as well.
