Shooting in Levittown
There has been a shooting in Levittown and the Island Trees School District is on lock down.
Does anyone have any information? The News 12 and 7Online sites are useless.

Heard it was a landlord and tenant dispute, what else do you expect from renting basement apartments to people that otherwise can't afford to live there. Singlehandedly destroying Long Island one slumlord at a time. Ruining every neighborhood on the island.

Where are you getting the information that is was a landlord/tenant dispute that had to do with a basement apartment?

Shooting in Levittown
LEVITTOWN (WABC) -- Police on Long Island are looking for a gunman in the shooting of 2 people inside a home in Levittown.
Preliminary information suggested the 2 victims had been wounded with a shotgun.
Neighbors told Eyewitness News reporter Kristin Thorne that they heard as many as 5 shots. Who did the shooting and where the suspect is located are questions that remain a mystery as of this writing.
Elementary and middle schools in the Island Trees School District in Levittown were placed on lockout as a precaution.
School officials were told by police that there is an armed man in Levittown and asked for students to be held in the schools.
Students are being kept in the elementary and middle schools under the "lockout" and buses are being held.
Students had already been dismissed from Island Trees High School.

Agreed! My kids aren't in the school district yet, but we live across from the middle school. I wasn't home, but saw it on Facebook and told my babysitter to lock the doors. Couldn't get any information except the Facebook page.

I know a lot of hard working people who can't afford to buy homes on Long Island that doesn't mean they are any less better than you. In fact with the way you think they are way better people than you will ever be.

I used to know someone who rented on that very street. She was a law student. Not everyone who rents is a lowlife.

Not that I'm supporting anyone here, but Island Trees houses do all have basements. It's a separate area of Levittown where the houses are not Levitts.
ANYWAY... I'm on the Facebook group for Levittown/Island Trees and they said the buses started leaving with kids around half an hour ago (4:45 or so). They're also saying the gunman has surrendered.

Shooting in Levittown
LEVITTOWN - Police say a dispute between a landlord and a tenant turned violent on Bloomingdale Road in Levittown Tuesday afternoon.
Authorities say the tenant, 58-year-old Rohan Khan, assaulted and chased his landlord. They say Khan was armed with a rifle.
Police say the Khan fired several shots at the landlord during the chase. The landlord was not struck, but suffered lacerations to his face from shattered glass.

A second victim who was driving by the scene was also injured when her vehicle was caught in the cross fire.
Police say Khan ran back into his home, while officers with the Bureau of Special Operations surrounded the house with guns drawn.
Negotiators were able to get Kahn to surrender peacefully before being taken into custody.
The incident prompted Levittown schools to delay dismissal for the elementary schools near Bloomingdale Road. The Island Trees superintendent says they are no longer in lockout and students have been dismissed.
