cat food question
Last month my cat was diagnosed with a large bowel mass & the vet said it should dissipate with prescription food. I've been mixing it with the old food, each day putting less of the old & more of the prescription. This week it's completely the new food & the last couple days she hasn't been eating it She may have ate a little but barely anything. I'm going to ask the vet what to do but I thought someone might have a suggestion. The food she's supposed to eat is I/D gastrointestinal health. Anyone know anything comparable that she might like? She seems staving, always trying to eat our food so i don't think she's loosing her appetite.

Re: cat food question
There is another brand called Royal Canin Gastrointestinal made for cats, but it is a Veterinary only brand, so you would have to ask your vet about it. As far as over the counter foods, they do have sensitive stomach diets available, but without knowing your cat's exact diagnosis, it would be difficult to recommend one. Good luck with your kitty!

cat food question
Talk to your vet about switching your cat to Prescription Diet C/D. My cat had a similar problem in the summer - he literally had so many crystals in his bladder that it looked like a snow globe on the ultrasound. He was originally put on the c/d dry food but it made it worse, so we switched to just wet food. He's been eating the Prescription Diet since and he really loves this food. Talk to the vet and see if your kitty would be able to eat this. You can only get it from the vet, and it isn't cheap (I pay a little less than $40 for a case of food), but it's so worth the piece of mind you get. My cat hasn't had a single issue since switching his food.

I agree. My cat has been on this food (dry not wet) since I adopted him about 9 years ago. He had to have surgery prior to me adopting him. After surgery and keeping him on this food, he's had no issues with crystals in his urine.
Hope your kitty feels better!
