hair is pulled through the curler.
There is a blow dryer attachment hood for them but they also work without it.

Ok I was curious and did some reading quickly Curls don't seem to last long and they are painful to sleep on

See, and I found great reviews. I think it would require a setting lotion or a gel used before curling. I would not use this for every day.

I've heard of these, but only in the cheer circuit. Everyone I know that uses them seems to love them for their kids.

Yes, I heard a lot of cheerleaders use them & I think it's because it's easy to do with a ponytail. To me it looks easier than things like Curl Secret.
