Re: BCP recomendations
I had been on orthocyclen for a ridiculous amount of time (15 years??) and now that I'm done with babies I asked my OB for a new one, assuming orthocyclen was a dinosaur pill. she said they try to start you off with the lowest level of estrogen possible then up it if you get breakthrough bleeding.
Long story short, I'm on LoEstrin now and doing great.

Re: BCP recomendations
I never had any problems on LoEstrin, I will not be going back on because we want to TTC again right away.

BCP recomendations
I used orthotricyclen for years and never had any problems but I much preferred my paraguard IUD. I had heavy cycles for the first few months but within the first year it greatly improved.
