I had my 5 month daughter christening yesterday. It was a beautiful day. However, everyone took pictures. I look so huge. I'm so embarrassed. I need to get back into shape. Money is tight for me so I can't afford a gym. I'm thinking about doing at home DVDs. Any suggestions? Also, today I started to use the lose it app to calculate my calories. I'm a working mom. I don't want to make excuses. I just need to fit these changes into my daily life. I never want my daughter to see me this size.

I am sure you look much better than you think you do! 5 months is not much time to loose the baby weight... 9 months on, 9 months off! (or for me, like 2 years, but whatever...) I would start small. Eating more veggies and lean protein, less carbs. Walking more. I recently downloaded an app called 7 minute workout on my phone. I like it b/c it is short and no equipment, which makes it doable. Be kind to yourself! <:hugs:>!

Don't be so hard on yourself!! DS is 14 months and I JUST got to my pre-pregnancy weight. Currently doing Zumba to just tone and get back into "shape"
I use the myfitnesspal app to count my calories. that has really helped! Also check Groupon! I always buy groupns ($39 for 10 fitness classes etc). They have some great deals!! And it's not a huge financial burden since they're so affordable. Good Luck!!

it took me about 14 years to get to my pre-pregnancy weight.. yes, i had other issues.
as others have said... be kind to yourself. you probably are only looking at the pictures you didn't like of yourself. also, your body MADE A FULL HUMAN BEING, it will take time.
start slow! food is a much bigger indicator of weigh loss than exercise. eat healthier and then start moving more.
i have a couple of exercise dvds i can send you, if you want them. i'll double-check to see what i have. you'll be doing me a favor: i'm reducing stuff for the sake of our move and i've found that running is what i can stick to, so the dvds really aren't of any use for me.
i'll fm you what i have and if you want them, they're yours!

You all are so sweet. I know I'm my worst critic. I was a big girl before getting pregnant. With pregnancy weight on top of my big frame just stresses me out. I appreciate your kind words. I know I can do this. And its gonna take time. I just get depress every know and then. Yes FM me the DVDs. So sweet of you.

I think you need to cut yourself a break. Its only been 5 months.
I remember the progress you made back from LIW.....you know what you need to do and how to get there. Enjoy these first few months with your little one!!! Just sneak little things in there for exercise when you can....and if you can't (we all know new moms don't get much sleep) just watch what you eat.
For me the weight was tough to get off. I used Medifast to get a bulk of it off. For me it worked because there was very little thought to the program and was easy on the go.

Try the 7 minute workout app on your phone. I run through it either 3 or 4 times (so close to a half hour) and I think it has helped with toning up.

I understand the feeling - but I promise you that you are harder on yourself than anyone else .....
I am the same way - I don't care how everyone ELSE thinks I look, I care how I think I look !!
As a working Mom it's really hard to always plan and prep and cook and eat the 'right' things .......I have found it to be much less of a chore for me to concentrate on not eating the wrong things .........
I stay away from the sugar, bread, etc and concentrate on protein and veggies/fruit.
It works for me
