Don't bother w. free parenting classes at BRU
Instead of writing my entire experience again I thought I would just copy/paste my complaint email/fb post to them..
So ridiculous!!
Tonight my husband and I were signed up to attend a Parenting Class at your College Point, NY location. The title of the class according to your website is: Hands-On Adult CPR & Pediatric/Infant CPR Demonstration. The description of the class is: Infant CPR Class - This class is led by a certified CPR instructor and intended for those who want to learn CPR but don't need certification. It's ideal for new parents, grandparents and anyone interested in learning life–saving techniques.
When we showed up for the class we were greeted by 3 friendly FDNY firefighters that explained to all the pregnant women who had showed up for this class that it is not a class to learn infant CPR. It is SOLELY for the purpose of learning adult compression CPR. According to the Firefighters they have to explain this every single time the course is POORLY advertised on your website. Please explain to me why a NON INFANT CPR class would be held at a BABIES R US?
What a waste of time. Just another reason Babies R Us is absolutely RIDICULOUS to deal with.
Please do not waste your time attending anything at a Babies R Us store. It is clearly a ploy to get expecting parents into their store and purchase items. I am sorry I even registered with Babies R Us.

Well that just plain makes no sense. Why would they have an adult only CPR course for a bunch of pregnant ladies. You need to know infant/child CPR and that is why your there.

Nope. Nothing. Adult only. The firefighters were kind enough to at least explain that infant cpr is totally different then adult cpr and what you do in adult cpr should never be done on an infant.

I went to one at the BRU in westbury and all they spoke about was infant CPR and dangers to infants.......Maybe she (the woman who gives the classes) wasn't available that day? Weird

I emailed corporate and all they sent me back was a generic email!!! I seriously can't stand this company!!
Maybe I should call but I swear every time I deal with BRU it's like talking to a wall.
