Finally made Cornedbeef and cabbage in the crockpot
It came out great and was so easy and yummy. I bought a 2lb Frierich thin cut corned beef. I put about 5 quartered (not peeled) yukon gold potates in the bottom of the pot with 1 big quartered onion and half a bag of baby carrots. I put the beef on top, fat side up (it came preseasoned) and added half a beer and water. Cooked for 8 hours and it came out great. Served with rye bread and mustard.

How did you prepare the cabbage, separately or in the crock pot?

I quartered it and put it on top of the corned beef. Basically it steamed.

My family would boil the corned beef on the stove in a huge pot and throw in the cabbage for the last 30 minutes or so. I have cooked it this way and in the crock pot and honestly I think they turned out equally as delicious!

I'm making this in the crockpot this year.
Question my corned beef did not come with spices. Do you use any spices?

Mine didn't either. I prefer it without the spices anyway.
