If you're in Direct Sales, come in...

Just signed up to be a Wine Consultant and I wanted to get some advice, tips, etc. on how to network and build up. Are there any websites you use? What works for you? I am brand new to Direct Sales. I definitely picked something I love - WINE!

Thanks for any advice you can give.

Make a facebook page for your company, invite friends to join and then ask them to ask other people to join. Have friends and family do parties then you will get more business from those parties.

Thank you! FB page is a great idea too.

Have to also figure out all of the tax implications. The only thing I dislike is getting a 1099 at the end of the year.

there are also TONS of local groups on FB that you can join. Your county, your town etc.

I've been doing direct sales for years. It's great for a mom's schedule.

Network, network, network. You never know where your next customer, party hostess and/or team member could be coming from. There are plenty of Facebook groups that can help with this. But don't forget traditional ways such as coffee shops and even the grocery (or in your case) the liquor store.

Also, spend your profits wisely. You really don't need much for a direct sales business. You don't want to see all the money you earn spent on supplies.

Good luck!
