Negative beta
This was IUI number 2 and my beta came back negative today. I pretty much knew it in my heart that it was going to be but it's just frustrating. I feel like I read all these comments on google abt how a lot of people had success on their first IUI and can't help but wish that could've been me. On to the next I guess...

Keep trying. Dust yourself off and do it again.
Yes some people get lucky with their first iui, others also happen to get lucky trying their first time naturally. Some it takes a lot more (like me).

Re: Negative beta
Yes, it does work for some people on IUI #1, but it also works for plenty of us on later tries as well. I don't know what your protocol has been or what your response has been, but if you tried the same thing for both IUIs, maybe ask to change it up next time around.

I've been on clomid 50 everytime and my response has always been very good I get around 4-5 follies each time. Would a different protocol really make much of a difference since I already respond so well to the 50?

4-5 mature follies? That's a lot for such a low dose of Clomid! Are you sure they are all mature?

Yes last cycle I had 7 but towards the end 5 pulled through and the nurse asked if I wanted to cancel the cycle due to the high chance of multiples. My first cycle I had 4 mature. The nurse made a joke and said that I make her nervous because I respond so well and she fears multiples. Our IF issue is that DH has borderline motility. I never had a issue with ovulation.
