Dress Me! Black Tie business event @ the Waldorf
I don't have to (and prefer not to) wear a gown.
I'm looking for a black cocktail dress that is ocassion appropriate, but also age appropriate (i'm 35 and don't want to look like i'm 75)
I'm a size 10, curvy - so nothing too low cut or I end up looking like Jessica Rabbit -
Oh, and I'm wearing the shoes in my avatar pic ....... I always work my clothes around my shoes .......

Thanks for the ideas -
I love that Cache one .......
I normally do love the fit & flare look (and agree it's great w/ those shoes) but these look a bit too young for a business event. I love the fist one for a wedding or something .........

Did you want something more conservative? I also see you wearing a bib necklace similar to the detail on the shoe. That is what made me think of a fit and flare dress. Actually I was looking for a plain black brocade high neckline, but I am not sure it exists.

I LOVE 1 & 3 .......LOVE LOVE LOVE 1
I do like the fit and flare - I just think the original 2, while totally my style, are a bit too young for this particular event

Try the Marina shutter pleat lace dress in short. It comes in so many colors, like black, silver and gold.
