Thinking about Paleo

Its about low/no carb, good fats and grassfed-protein/No sugar. Good fats include avocado, grass-fed butter, omega 3s. I highly recommend going paleo. Its not as hard as I thought it would be. First you lose water weight then I lost 10 pounds without any exercise.

No grains, legumes, sugar, refined oils or dairy. Lots of veggies, fruits, healthy fats like coconut oil, olive oil, etc. grass fed meats, wild fish, etc.

It's not about lo carbs at all. It's about eating whole, natural, unprocessed food.

Why is called Paleo and not just "clean" eating? I personally can't stand the term Paleo because it's such a misnomer and it seems there are countless variations when you go to these websites.

Re: Thinking about Paleo

You could also look into the Whole 30. It's a bit more restrictive the first 30 days, but very effective especially if you have any health issues or food allergies you may not even be aware of.

The plan is free on their website, but you can also read their book "It Starts with Food" for more in-depth info.

Paleo is not low-carb. You eat plenty of carbs through vegetables. I prefer to think of it as clean-eating because I agree when people think Paleo they think nothing but meat and it's so much more than that.

My mistake when I think of carbs I immediately think of pastas and bread...yes you're getting carbs thru vegetables.
