New Puppy w/2 cats
my DH and I just adopted a 9 week old puppy this weekend.. it is exhausting to say the least. we are working on potty training and getting him to sleep through the night w/o crying and barking... I know it will come in time
my main concern is I have 2 cats who I love-- (male who is 3, female who is 2) they are super friendly and loving, and seem interested in the puppy. they will get nose to nose with him but then he gets excited and they hiss at him and run away.. does any one have any recommendation on easing the new puppy in with the cats? I feel so bad for my cats and are afraid they hate me now :(
any puppy training tips much appreciated too!

Re: New Puppy w/2 cats
I would give it some more time. Our cats were perplexed when we adopted our dog (not a puppy), but they all figured out he was a family member after not too long.

Re: New Puppy w/2 cats
Give it time... My two cats were 5 and 6 when I got my puppies..
We made sure the cats had a 'save zone' (we gated the bedroom so they could get somewhere 'dog free' if they needed a break).. and we always reprimanded the dogs if they chased the cats in any way... It took time, but now they're one big happy family!
