Re: handing out invites
We get all our invites one month out. The one time a mom gave them 2 weeks before and had very few there because most had plans by that time. It really depends on your circle and if it is a weekend etc.

I've gotten them a week before but we usually can't go.
Even two weeks out is rough bc if it is my ex's weekend I need to ask him to see if he wants to take DS

Re: handing out invites
Last year I did them 4 weeks before.
This year I was behind the 8 ball and did them about 2.5 weeks before. I had to invite all 10 girls from DD's Daisy troop, plus a few friends from her class and the neighborhood and my nephew. I was truly hoping for several no's because it was at my house at DD's insistence. Only 2 out of the 14 invited didn't come.
My personal ideal is 4 weeks and that seems to be the norm among the invites DD has gotten.

Re: handing out invites
just about 4 weeks exactly IMO, any more is too much, people forget. Any less and you cut it a bit too close.

We typically receive them 3-4 weeks before the party with a RSVP date one week before (give or take a day or two).
We have received one once less than a week before the party. That party actually had the best turnout of them all.
