Delivering at NSLIJ at New Hyde Park
I may have to deliver there. How is the staff? Are the rooms nice? Private or shared? Any info would be great

i delivered dd there last year (Feb 2013) and will be delivering #2 there in May.
it is amazing! All private rooms and the staff was wonderful. I had one nurse who was supposed to bring me something and never did, but aside form her, everyone was fantastic. people can visit anytime and there is no limit to how many people you can have.

I delivered there in july 2013. It is wonderful. I was induced and ended up needing a csection. The L&D nurses were really amazing. I just had so many questions and I never felt like I was being a bother.
The postpartum rooms are all private. The postpartum nurses are nice also. I just didnt need anything really from them except the occasional motrin. Of course some nicer than others but thats anything. I really recommend the hospital.

I delivered there for my 1st. All private rooms which are nice, but some of the staff were not so nice. It was also hard to get help breast feeding.

Ive delivered there twice. This past december was dc 2 n i had nothing but a great experience. It was clean, modern all the nurses were fantastic.. Loved it there!

When I delivered therein October everything was great but just fyi they stopped giving pacifiers so if you want LO to have one then pack it in your hospital bag!

I just had dd 2 weeks ago and it was my second time. I have to say this time the experience was so much better than the last time. That was good also but the nurses were all great, nice and super helpful. Private.rooms.and.I.was surprised that they let visitors in the recovery room this time if you wanted them.
