rest recs..
going to governors tonight.. looking for a place to have dinner around roosevelt field or the tri county mall area.. somewhat healthy options? maybe a good seafood place..

There's a place called Sabor a Colombia right at the west(?) end of the shopping center in front of Governors. (All the way to the left if you are facing the front of the shopping center) It's nothing fancy but the food is great! (they have a shrimp dish (can't remmeber what its called) that is to die for)

Popei's Clam Bar. Its a little east of Govenor's about a mile north of Hempstead Turnpike on Wantagh Avenue.

Their white rice is the most delicious rice I have ever tasted. It must be made in butter :) Would love to know what shrimp dish you are talking about!

Yes, I love their rice too - forgot about that! I looked up the menu on line and I think its the shrimp in garlic sauce. Soooo goood!!!

We were btwn sabor and popeis (my fav) and I will be too tempted with chicharon , so we r going to popeis. Getting a broiled lobster and steamers. Trying SO hard to eat healthy this week. With the exception of Korean on Wednesday, I did great.

Popeis doesn't take reservations for two ppl so we ended up at ayhans. Sooo lame. Their wait was over 45 min,
Long Island needs to step it up with food. Next time I'm just going to go to a chain if I need to or play it safe and just go to Taco Bell.
