Went to the doctor

So after a second crazy cycle of 68 days of nothing, I finally went to the doctor. She told me to stop taking my temps, that I'm making myself crazy (which she was right about!). She said if I was never regular to begin with (which is why I went on bc in the first place 10 years ago), then this is "regular" for me. She took blood to test my thyroid and other hormones just in case, but she said, "You're young, you're healthy, you'll be fine. Just try naturally until the new year and if nothing happens then we'll start other testing." I know my DH was happy with this response b/c he's been telling me I'm making myself stressed over this. We'll just keep bding and hopefully it'll work sooner rather than later.

ETA: She also prescribed me a medication to bring on AF.

The first cycle after I went off bc I ovulated on day 58 and got AF shortly after. The second cycle I was on day 69 and hadn't ovulated yet.

I would say if you ovulate, even at all then trying for a while longer is ok.

Im just surprised the Dr. Didnt give you something to help regualte you or find out why your cycles are so long, because usually long cycles indicate something like PCOS, but again the fact you ovulate is a great sign!

I think her message was to try not to get crazy yet. We really did JUST start ttc, so I'm not worried yet.
