*Updated* So Frustrated
I'm supposed to go in for a sono and bloodwork 2moro because i have finished my round of clomid and they were preparing me for an IUI. Now i don't know if i will be able to do it for this cycle because my insurance has not gotten back to my RE's office with an authorization for it. Its been a week now with no word and they have left multiple messages.
So i'm left in limbo and don't know what to do. DH would rather not pay OOP if he doesn't have to, especially these next couple months since he has to pay taxes for the year (he's self-employed), so he is not happy about it either.
My next option is just to do timed intercourse for this month. Has anyone ever gotten pregnant during a clomid/timed intercource cycle? I know my RE said IUI gives you a better chance.
-Update-
So i found out yesterday that they denied me for IUI coverage because my RE put down that me and my DH were trying for 7months. When in fact it was over a year and it was stated in the pap smear review from my gyn. So he messed up things with my insurance and now the financial advisor had to fax over my pap smear papers to try to fix it.
So i decided to do timed intercourse this cycle to see if that issue is resolved by next month. I'm just glad i had that paper from my GYN doctor as proof that my RE told my insurance the wrong information. Not happy about it but hopefully they fix it.

What is your diagnosis? That will determine if timed intercourse is appropriate or not. How many follies do you normally produce? Would you still trigger?

This would be my very first IUI. They haven't determined what is the real cause of my infertility. So far i have hypothyroidism and luteal phase defect but other than that my tests have been normal. DH sperm is fine too however the motility could be better.

Iui will def help motility, but if his count is good, there's a better chance you might be ok with TI. Make sure you get suppositories for the luteal phase. I would start three days after o - see if they can give you trigger shot so you know exactly when to bd. good luck !!

There are ladies who have gotten bfp from clomid or femara and TI. Can someone from finance or billing from your RE call your ins co? You can call and speak to your nurse manager handling your case too, if you haven't already. I'm sorry, I know it's frustrating.

Thanks. The financial advisor has been calling like crazy. I have one of the new insurances and i'm hoping that this will not become a pattern.

UGH I would totally be furious and call all day every day until I get someone on the phone to yell at!
But, the good news is that if you have to go the TI route, there are success stories. Hang in there!!!
