Hystero salpingogram- update
After 6 mos TTC I went back to the dr I was told "since you're over 30 it takes longer sometimes." Now, after 10 months, temping, using OPKs, and Preseed I decided it was time to get checked out and not take "relax and give it time" for an answer.
Sonogram came back normal.
Endometrial biopsy came back normal (hurt like a ***** though!)
Semen analysis came back normal.
Next is a hysterosalpingogram.
I webMD'd it and it does not sound like torture.
Anyone on here go through this?

Ehhhhhhh- it's scheduled for Thursday- wish me luck!!
Update:
I went today, got it done at zwanger pesiri. They were great, i didn't have to wait long, a nurse came and explained the procedure to me in private. I was very nervous- i kept waiting for it to hurt but I didn't feel any cramping at all- it felt just like a Pap smear. The dr also didn't find anything "wrong" - my tubes were clear, nothing abnormal. Which is good news, but then why am I not getting pregnant? Hopefully this "opened me up" and I will have good news soon

It wasn't pleasant. Take a few advil beforehand. It's quick though - just when you feel like you can't take it another second, it's over. I cramped a little bit for a couple of hours afterward, but that was it. Oh and bring a pad.

Hystero salpingogram
I've had an hsg. I've heard lots of people say that it was fine, but for me, it was painful. It was as painful for me as the water sonogram.

I had a water sono then a HSG. The water sono hurt more for me. LIke really bad cramps and weak legs. The HSG was fine. Drove home and went shopping with a friend. My ob said that water sono may have hurt more because of a blockage...
Good luck and take a couple advil before going in!

I did something similar called the FemVue, however there is no xray involved. It was a little uncomfortable, cramping but it was mostly mental for me. I took 3 motrins before the exam. Cramping lasted about an hour.

Both of my tubes were blocked.
It hurt.
A lot.
BUT as soon as she stopped, the pain stopped. It's one of those things you endure for a couple minutes and when it's over, you're like WTF was that???
There are other people who just had some discomfort. So I really think it depends on the person and depends on whether you have blockage.
Like PP have mentioned, you can take some pain relievers before you go to help. If I have to go do this test again (which I think I may have to) I'm taking narcotics!

I thought the endometrial biopsy hurt much more than the HSG but the HSG took longer. But both are absolutely no fun.

HSG was uncomfortable for me but didn't hurt. it was over very quickly. I'd also bring a pad bc the one they gave me was a really thick one with no wings so I felt really awkward. i went and immediately bought some always!

My tubes were not blocked ( where I hear it can be painful). It was more uncomfortable!

My tubes were open but it still hurt like a b****. Some say thàt if your tubes are blocked that's when you feel pain but that's not necessarily true. At least for me it wasn't . But like the others said by the time you say ouch it's over. Take a Motrin before. I forgot to take something before I left the house so this could also be why I felt so much pain. Everyone is different so don't stress it, for you it may not hurt at all! GL!

I had one and had no pain afterwards - actually went for a 7 mile run following the procedure.
I know other ladies have found it very uncomfortable.

I had mine done last week. Hurt like a *****, but my uterus is tilted and they had pull on it. But they said you are super fertile right after and my Dr said most people get pg within 6 months of the procedure
