Tell me the morning sickness ends, please!
I had no morning sickness whatsoever with DD. Not even a moment of queasiness. My apologies to anyone that has ever suffered with it, I didn't think it could be that bad. Karma is a ...
With this pregnancy I have been getting worse and worse by the day since 5.5 weeks when I was queasy in the evenings. I'm almost 10 weeks and now I'm almost unbearably nauseous all day, dry heaving or vomiting, shaking and dizzy at night. It just keeps getting worse.
I wear sea bands, chew ginger gum or eat the preggie pop drops, drink plenty of water, eat small meals about every 2 hours, have high protein snacks. Nothing is helping anymore.
Please tell me this really does end at or about 12 weeks.

Re: Tell me the morning sickness ends, please!
For me and a lot of my friends, 14 weeks was the magic number. It definitely started to decrease around 12 weeks and then at 14 weeks, I felt like a normal person again.
Hang in there...it gets better!! And congrats!!

Talk to you doctor about getting a prescription for zofran to treat the nausea. I started to feel better around 12-13 weeks but everyone is different.

Re: Tell me the morning sickness ends, please!
I had it with all three pregnancies and it just sucks. I tried everything possible all three times and things helped like small meals, lots of carbs, mints. But nothing fully worked abd I always felt like crap. Gagged at everything. Sense of smell was ridiculious and threw up. Just and over all naseous feeling all day. I never took medication for it. I'm a little nuts and don't trust anything while pregnant. I don't even take Tylenol. It goes away but when only time will tell. My Morning sickness gets better around 12 weeks. It doesn't fully go away but I have good and bad days and cab function a little better. By 15 weeks I'm usually 100% better. One day it will just go away. It's an amazing feeling. After that I had a ton of energy and felt like a new person. Of course that goes away too, but my sickness doesn't ever return for me.

Still here at 12 weeks. I had the WORST two days because of it. I try to snack every chance I can, literally crackers and sip on ginger ale and chew gum.

Re: Tell me the morning sickness ends, please!
It's so different for everyone and I wish I had good news for you but for me, I had it with each pregnancy and each one got worse. My first ended at about 14 weeks, second at 16 weeks and this one (MY LAST!!) tapered off around 18 weeks but I'd be lying if I said it was all gone by 22 weeks. It's much better than it was but still here at times. Pregnancy is never easy for me and my heart breaks for you as morning sickness isn't as easy as it sounds. Just take it day by day!

It's different. I would ask for zofran.
For some it never ends so you might as well have the conversation with your dr about the zofran.

This was me. I needed the Zofran my entire pregnancy. I would try and go without it and would get sick within hours. I would not have been able to function without it. My morning sickness was lasting 24/7.

Tell me the morning sickness ends, please!
For me it ended with both pregnancies at 14 weeks. But it was HORRIBLE both times! Constant nausea, dizziness, lightheaded, tiredness, etc.
Ugh thinking about it is making me feel nauseous again lol. I hope you feel better soon!!!

Re: Tell me the morning sickness ends, please!
Thanks everyone. I've only vomited a few times so far. I won't ask for zofran unless I can't hold anything down. Looking forward to some relief soon. Just hoping it doesn't get worse.
Morning sickness on top of exhaustion at 40 is not fun.

I think 9-10 weeks is supposed to be the peak of it in how it relates to hormones so you may start feeling a little better in a week or two even if it's not fully gone. It sucks. I had it until 15 weeks the first time and 17 weeks the second.

Tell me the morning sickness ends, please!
I had it extremely bad with DS and was on Zofran until 22 weeks. The Zofran helpe tremendously and I didn't even feel nauseous with it. This time around I'm pregnant with DD and the Zofran helped but I still felt sick even while on it. I even threw up sometimes while on it. But I will say it peaked around 9-10 weeks and by 18+3 I stopped taking it. I'm now 19+3 and feel good. Hang in there.

Re: Tell me the morning sickness ends, please!
I am baby #3 and with my other two DS I puked and was sick up until the day I gave birth. I tried zofran but the taste made me puke. I am now taking dicligeous and I am feeling much better. I am 20 weeks 4 days and I tried stopping the med and i got sick the day after I went off of it. So I am back on it. It is a cat A drug and it used to be around many years ago and was reformulated. I am only taking it bc I cant hold down any food or liquid without it.
So I am sure for me I will be sick til baby #3 is here!
I hope it is different for you
