Any one else go here? Just had a consult withdr stelling on Tuesday. I keep calling their billing dept and no one is calling me back! I need a pre determination letter for my insurance, and I'm frustrated bc I can't go forward unless my insurance approves me.

I go there. Are you talking about Cheryl?? she never calls back or she is always out sick. I am not sure which office you are going to, but, Annuda is great. She use to be in Mineola now mostly in Stony Brook, but she is good and calls back.

She's awful. I left there after they screwed up royally numerous times. Most girls in her like their Suffolk county offices.

Shondell was in charge of my IVF case and was pretty good but all of those ladies are overbooked with case approvals over there. I had to go there in person and wait in the billing office and they straightened everything out for me.

I refuse to deal with anyone but Annuda and she can assist even if she is in the Stony Brook office. My dr. knows I wont deal with certain people.
Unfortunately in that office sometimes its best to walk in and speak to someone on the spot..I discovered if you leave a message for John, (cant remember his name) but he runs the billing department, he will have "that " individual call you back right away

I think I may call Monday and ask to speak with the office manager or maybe talk to the receptionist at the west Islip office first. They seemed really nice, maybe they can help me get in touch with someone.

Oh no! What does that mean? Should I just try a different practice! I can't take this. On top of all of the stress of taking care of a special needs son and doing all his paperwork now I have to worry about tracking these people down. So unfair! I can't catch a break!

I was going there for a little over year but finally graduated and am now pregnant with TWINS!!!  I'm not sure which office you go to but I LOVE the people in Stony Brook. Shawndell is IMPOSSIBLE to get in touch with!! I left her over 10 vmails that were NEVER returned....she does respond to email though so I would email her if possible.
We actually complained about her to the SB office becuase it was getting out of control!!

Did you get anywhere with the complaint? I'm sorry but I'm getting pretty must. Most of us that are seeking IVF are already in a very fragile state. Why would they make it harder? What happened to customer service? Sorry, rant over.

I'm not a fan of RS of NY and left them in October but I never had issues with getting a call back etc. Jean in finance always called me back right away and answered all of my questions. If I needed to talk to anyone else, dr, nurse, I always got a phone call back. There were times i had to call more than once and I was also very persistent but it was never a serious issue. Everyone has different opinions based on their experience there.

I was a patient of the Mineola office. I would not recommend it if you want individual attention. I did eventually get pregnant with my DS but a lot of it was because I advocated for myself. I'm actually worried now about if I have to go back to the RE when I am ready to TTC #2 because no other office is convenient for me except for that one (its right near my job). 
That being said, I have read on here that many of the ladies are happy with the suffolk offices. Good luck!

I would not stop the process at this point you just started, it was a holiday week and perhaps some people are away. If you have a problem leave a message for the person in charge of billing, you will get a phone call back. Also, get shandewlls email.
Just breath.
I cant saw I am the biggest fan, but I was also unhappy with North LIJ department. The Dr never once called me back.

Ive been to both offices and the one thing I can say is Mineola is so much busier...I think the girls there do a great job considering....

I got a call from shawndell yesterday that the pre determination letter was submitted to my insurance. So happy that it happened so fast. Now just waiting for the insurance decisions and, boy, am I nervous. Fingers crossed!

sometimes these predetermination decisions take some time....dont get frustrated...insurance companies make life so difficult..there is so much red tape. Good luck!
