senior dog supplements
anyone have their dog on anything for joints, arthritis ?
the vet recommended some chewables the other day for joint supplement & anti-inflammatory. but they were $$$ and i dont think the dog would chew them.

My senior dog has very bad hips and is on tramadol for pain, cosamin ds (our vet ok'd) and metacam as anti inflammatory.

fish oil= natural anti-inflammatory-ask your vet for the correct dosage glucosamine pills for joints-trader joe's has them---I break them in half
I know there are joint treats that are soft---I think they are called joint max???

I bought glucosamine tablets for humans from Costco and I break 1 in half and give it to Murphy in a piece of bologna. Not every day though because some days, it bothers his stomach.
