C25k?

I just downloaded the app.

I was a runner before getting pregnant, my longest run was a 10k. I loved it and would run about 15-20 miles/week spread out over 3-4 runs.

I had a high risk pregnancy and a hip injury so I haven't run in about 16 months now. I have been doing barre classes 5x/week for the last 3 months and am in decent shape. I did a 5k fun run this weekend and basically couldn't run at all! I miss it and want to get back to it.

Anyone have experience with C25k? Does it sound like this may be something good for me at this point?

Re: C25k?

i went from a real couch potato to running a marathon and it started with C25K.

i loved it.

for someone who had never run, there were moments when it was really hard, but i kept up with it and don't regret a moment of it.

go for it. it will be a breeze for you , being that you were already a runner.

Re: C25k?

I did it 2 years ago and it worked great for me! Towards the end I didn't have to even follow it anymore I was able to advance quicker. And I only could do it 3x a week. I'm about to start it again I am post-partum like you.

Re: C25k?

I've done it twice lol First before my ds2 but had to stop running for a little then found out I was pregnant. After ds2 was born I did it again. It is a great way to start or get back into running. It starts you slow then builds you up. If at anytime you don't feel ready to move in just repeat the week.
