Baby Moon Locations
DH and I are thinking of going away for a few days in September (I'll be about 6/7 months) so long as the doctor gives me the OK to fly. I only want to go a short distance, maybe a 3-4 hour flight, no more. Before we found out I was preggo, we were thinking Excellence in Punta Cana, because we'd heard such great things about the resort on here, or maybe Jamaica. Just looking for other nice baby-moon destinations. We still really want to do this, since we never really got a honeymoon (3 nights out in Winery Land Long Island doesn't count in my book).

Baby Moon Locations
we went last month for 6 days 5 nights to Couples Swept Away in Jamaica Negril. I was 25 weeks. It was awesome. There were so many various activities for DH to do during the day while I lounged with a book on the beach, and then enough fun stuff to do in the 2nd part of the day together (their sport complex is awesome - ping pong and pool tables, warm pool at the spa open for others, many tennis courts) then in the evening was great food in their various restaurants
it was very relaxing and the fact its adults only was very fitting for pre baby vacation LOL

We did a cruise to Bermuda from NY. Granted it was booked before I got pg but still, it made for a nice babymoon! Luckily I was under 24w when we went!

Baby Moon Locations
My husband and I went I excellence punta Cana a few years ago and enjoyed it. The only thing I would be concerned about is the Extremely long cab ride to the resort. Majority of the roads aren't paved or taken care of, it's a VERY bumpy ride. In total I believe it took us over 2 hours to get there. We are going to excellence playa mujeres for our Babymoon. We've been to this one before also and loved it. The ride is maybe 30 min if there is traffic on all paved roads. We also went to Excellence riviera cancun for our honeymoon and were blown away by the service at all 3. (We had gone to a sandals and felt VErY disappointed when compared to all Excellence resorts) Whatever you decide have a great time!!!

Great to know about Punta Cana... Mujeres was the other one we were thinking of for the babymoon... Thanks so much for the info, that will def make a big difference.
ETA: that is a looong flight to playa mujeres, I don't think I can do a 8-10 hour flight at that point... I'd rather do the 2 hour car ride.

Re: Baby Moon Locations
Hands down...go to Jamaica, Montego Bay - 20 minute ride from airport to hotel. BEAUTIFUL People and great hospitality. We stayed at Secrets. I've been to Excellence in Riviera Maya, Cancun and Punta Cana (just came back in March).
Jamaica was my favorite! Dh and I both said we'd go back in a heartbeat.
Secrets is all adult, all inclusive. They have two locations. Doesn't matter which one you go to, you have access to both. Has 10 bars, 8 or 9 restaurants - ALL yummy. The rooms are so modern and beautiful. Great pool, and the entertainment was much more fun here than Excellence.
The Excellence resorts are beautiful too. Also lots of restaurants, and bars. Great pools. The one in Mexico is much nicer than Punta Cana. More updated and that's because Punta Cana was the first location.

Oh I wouldn't be going on a 8 hour flight either! To playa mujeres fr JFK is just about 4 hours.... Taking JetBlue, direct flight into cancun, then a 30 min transfer to the resort!!!
