RE Question...

DH just started a new job. My old job when I was TTC DD covered infertility to a point. DH's insurance never covered infertility at all. We won't have insurance for another 3 months but I know from friends of ours that it is covered with this new plan.
I used to go to Dr. Grunfeld in NYC at RMA of NY (LOVED him) but he won't take this new insurance. (Blue Cross/Blue Shield)

I can't go back to NYC because DH will be bouncing around the Brooklyn/Staten Island area, so I need to find a RE around here.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I hear a lot about Dr. Kofinas...any reviews good or bad? sometimes i hear he is a bit of a zealot and sometimes i hear that he's just ok....

Anyone ever heard of Dr. Knochenhauer in Staten Island?
Or genesis Fertility?

Re: RE Question...

I wouldn't use Knochenhauer.

We used Genesis successfully. We have a 14 month old DD and I'm currently 24 weeks pregnant as results of Genesis. I loved the practice. I had a wonderful experience with everyone I encountered there (receptionists, nurses, insurance/billing, sonographers...everyone).

I have 4 friends who've all been successful there (all within the last 16 months) as well. I really can't say enough about the care I received there.

Feel free to FM me with any questions.

ETA: The Kofinas brother everyone talks about around here is Alex. He's not an RE; he is an MFM. His brother, George, is an RE. I had a consult with him and wasn't terribly impressed.

You will NEVER find parking at LI IVF's Brooklyn location.
