Boy name opinion
My ds should be arriving on Monday and we still arnt settled on a name...we both like Drew but I want Andrew as his name and call him Drew...my dh just wants to name him Drew...do you consider Drew a name or more of a nickname?

If you want to call him Drew, then pick the name Drew.
If you use Andrew ,others might use the nickname Andy. Drew is definately not just a nickname.

I would just choose Drew as his name if that is what you both like.
DS is Jake and that is exactly what we put on his birth certificate despite everyone asking if his full name is Jacob.

I know a few Andrews and they are all called Andrew. I would never think to call them Drew.
I know a Drew as well.

I agree. I am a fan of naming kids what you are actually going to call them, not a full name when you really only like the nickname. Both our girl and boy names are names people might think of as "nicknames" or short versions of other names, but they will be our kids legal birth certificate names.

It's a first name, I've known plenty of "Drew"s who were just that, Drew, not Andrew.
