Just gutted our basement today after a sewer backup. We want to put down tile this time, but I am terrible at choosing tiles, wall color. Can anyone share a photo of your finished, tiled basement?? Desperate for ideas.

I have half wood half tile. There are some pics in my album. I just kept it pretty simple. Basements tend to have lower ceilings so I wanted something light and clean looking.

Ours are a neutral beige color. Nothing special, but they always look clean!

We have tile. Our basement had some water at one point so we thought it as smarter to do that than carpet!

We did a light beige. Walls are a really cool blue.... I don't I have any pictures, sorry!

I have light beige color tiles too. We used the 12 x 12 sized ones and it makes the basement look bigger. I don't have pics either

Re: Does anyone have a tiled, finished basement?

Make sure you get porcelain for the basement. It is impervious to water so no water will ever be absorbed into the body of the tile (ceramic tile can absorb water from underneath or through a chip). That means whether you get water from above or below (flooding) the tile will remain in tact. you would just have to surface clean it (bleach/etc) and possibly reseal the grout lines but you wouldn't have to pull it up.
Home Depot has a great line of wood grain tile (6"x24") if you wanted a wood look.

Literally had the same thing happen to us, and we are almost done with the work.

We got the Lugano tile from Home Depot, less than $2/sq foot and it looks very nice installed.

I'm on an iPad and have no idea how to link you to it, so I'm going to bump my basement reno photos from a few years back...

My parents have this in their basement. Nothing too fancy but the color does always look clean. We have an area rug under the furniture-everything else is tile and I love the way it looks.

Beautiful picture. Is wood tile cold to walk on like regular tile?

Half of our basement is now a playroom. We have a drain system down there now so hopefully no water but we didn't want to take a chance so we went with tile.

I wouldn't say it's super cold. It depends on how cool or hot your basement is. You could also add heating underneath, which we skipped because I like the look of area rugs to define spaces.
