balloon gender reveal
Has anyone done this? Who put the box and balloons together for you? I'd like to do it but now sure how to get it done. I wonder if a local party store would do it. I feel like party city wouldn't.

Why not just buy the balloons and stick them in a box yourself. I dont think this is that crazy that someone has to be paid to do it. I mean, its just balloons in a box.

Giuliana and bill rancic did lol. Really cute idea. They opened a big box and out came the blue balloons. You would have to enlist someone you could tell though to do it for you, unless you already know and are sharing with friends and family.

I'm thinking they don't know the gender.
Along the lines of giving the bakery a sealed envelope with the gender.
I don't see why Party City or one of those places wouldn't do it.
Just supply the box and ask them to fill it with the balloons.

Unless you don't want to find out until the balloons are released, then I would have the tech write the gender down on an envelope for you and give it to a friend, so that they can go and buy the balloons and put it in the box for you.

Or, you can fill the balloons yourself. Have a pink box and a blue box. Keep the boxes in a bedroom. Give the gender to a trusted friend right before reveal and have them brng out the right box

I believe a friend of mine made the box and brought it to Party City to have them fill the box with the appropriate color with the envelope from the sono tech.

Please release the balloon indoors only! It's such a cute gesture that has horrific consequences on our environment. So many animals die from the balloons and it's bad for the environment.
Another idea is a gender reveal cake. You give the baker the envelope and they bake the cake pink or blue.

Good point. You could always have them attach a weight so they pop up but don't fly away.

Haha I don't want to be a Debbie downer but I see people do this all the time on fb and I can't help but think how many animals is this killing? I like gender reveal cakes better anyway bc then you get to eat cake!

Haha I don't want to be a Debbie downer but I see people do this all the time on fb and I can't help but think how many animals is this killing? I like gender reveal cakes better anyway bc then you get to eat cake!
mine was weighed down with a baby doll for DD but it wouldn't even occur to me to NOT put a weight on it!

I did a balloon gender reveal. It was lots of fun! DH gave the guy at Party City the envelope so he'd know whether to put blue or pink balloons. I think the guy was confused but once DH explained it, he understood. We decorated the box beforehand. We did it at our shower (indoors). It was a nice moment.

Yes definitely out a weight on them, with the strings all different lengths. Not only is it safer, but if you are photographing it, they won't just fly away before getting some cute pictures.
We will be doing this when we find out the gender to tell my kids (I will find out but wan a cute way of surprising them)
