Talk to me about a Freeze Cycle
I have 6 frozen so were moving on to a Freeze cycle.
I have no idea what this involves except their is no retrieval. Are their shots? Do they keep you from producing your own eggs? What does it entail? What is the timeline? Do they put you on BC first again? What is the cost compared with IVF?
Anything you can tell me will be a huge help.
He told me he wants to wait 3 weeks but not sure exactly what that even means.
I am supposed to hear from the nurses tomorrow.

You will take estrogen and progesterone. The doctor will monitor your levels and your lining and they will do the transfer. It's painless and easy!!!! 6 frozen is amazing

basically what the PP poster said...just pills and some monitoring....SO MUCH EASIER!! And, I don't know about your RE, but my RE's #s for FETs are greater then fresh cycles.... and FET worked for us!!

I did PIO and Estrace. My FET was successful. It allowed my RE to ensure my lining and timing for implantation synchronized.

Talk to me about a Freeze Cycle
So its going to be three weeks and then they will induce my period. What is the typical time line after that, anyone know? The nurse was really no help.

18 days from getting AF to transfer at my dr. Mostly estrace. Blood and sono on day 3. Around day 13 you go in for a sono and start more meds, including PIO shots. PIO is the only shot. So much easier than a fresh.

Talk to me about a Freeze Cycle
as everyone else said just estrace and progesterone. Come in day 2, then start estrace with increasing the dose every 4 days if I remember correctly then around day 13-14 u come in again for monitoring, they add progesterone. then transfer for me was on day 20. aaand continue taking the meds during the 2ww.
FET worked for me too. My Dr said that usually higher chances are with FET as the body doesnt get bombarded and abused with all the hormones and such.
