Closing on our house in a month (Yeah!)

Overall great condition but needs some cosmetic work.

There is an entire brick wall with a raised hearth and fireplace in the center. I'd like to get quotes on cutting this back and changing the surround and mantle to be more traditional and less country style. Walls and Floors behind existing brick and hearth would need to be replaced.

Do i need a GC for this? Are there fireplace people? Any reccos?

Would like to redo all the hardwoods but thinking I should address the fireplace first and then have the entire floor and patched area done at the same time. Same thing with having the place painted.

Figuring out the timing of these things is tricky.
