Re: Cookie lady
I hardly call negative reviews from 2 people an "attack". Show me one business who has 100% customer satisfaction 100% of the time.

Just as people deserve to hear the complaints, they deserve to hear the praises as well...which btw far outweigh the negative. Not too many companies will drop everything to ship 50 cookie favors, specially made and designed at the last minute for free.

I used her for my sons bday party favors and thought she was fabulous! I did mail her my signed contract and she never received it, but since I paid her and she received it she didn't ask me to resend it. No biggie at all and I would use her again.

My only comment is that it is very aggravating to me (and to others) that the full facts are being left out of the posts (like, say, having a different last name attached to an email, or MOVING and not letting the vendor know) which drastically changes the story. Leaving out important facts like that are as bad as lying, IMO.

Sounds to me like to me like a little disorganized and an honest mistake as long as it was made right I see no problems. I think any business owner is entitled to a mistake or forgetting something here or there so long as it's not anything catastrophic. We are all human

My paypal account is under my maiden name, BUT in the subject of the email payment is says from (married name). It also says it in the notes of the payment who it is from (married name) and what it was for. I also then forwarded my confirmation of payment email to her from my current email address, so no that's not an excuse. Not sure where you are getting this info from.
I also emailed my contract and she responded immediately confirming receipt within minutes, yet she said she doesn't have it.
Anyway, this is getting ridiculous but I'm not a liar (or omitting any pertinent facts).
Edit bc i wrote married when I meant to write maiden...

If she received a payment via paypal and didn't know what/who it was for, she needs to keep better records. Did she just think someone was paying her for nothing? Why wouldn't she have tried to match the payment up with an outstanding invoice or even email the paypal email address it came from for clarification?

How would people on this forum even know about something that happened between the cookie lady and a customer? Is she talking about it with people? Genuinely curious, I'm not starting something.

Unless the Cookie Lady is a regular poster as well as a vendor?

This is obviously a third example. Sounds like the problem is just compete disorganization. Doesn't sound like she's being malicious.

There have been a few posts about this, here and Facebook. The cookie lady has posted on them too.

If that's the case, that is not how you handle business matters.... by going toe to toe in public with an unhappy customer. Regardless of the complaint.

I was going to say that. I can't imagine my company getting into a Facebook war with an unhappy customer! Granted, we are a huge, large company, but as a small business you should still conduct yourself in a manner as if you were a big company when it comes to customer sat. Professionalism is professionalism.

Just to clarify, there has not been a war, at all. It was posted about in a private FB group and people came to the business owners defense. For the record, I am not friends with the Cookie Lady just a casual bystander, but she has remained extremely professional and has not gotten very involved in the threads.

Ah thanks for the clarification. I wasn't privy to the FB thread, but the way it was coming across was there was some kind of FB war going on .

It stinks to get a bad review but on the same token when those threads are deleted it makes me not want to use sponsored vendors here--bc who cares if they stink so long as they pay their ad fee.

I guess I'm missing something because I didn't see any attacks. This post wouldn't keep me from hiring her, it would just make me follow-up, which I would have anyway.
