As of now we are definitely in need of an Earth Science teacher and then we have one open science position for any high school license.
Right now we offer Living Envi. to 9th grade, Earth Sci to 10th, Anatomy/Phys to 11th and Chemistry or AP Bio to 12th.
Our anatomy teacher is leaving for law school so we are in need of a science teacher. They are open to any license. They are more looking for the quality of teacher versus the license. They will make a program around the teacher.

Would the school qualify/have funding to hire a lead teacher for that position? If so my DH would definitely be interested I applying.

What do you mean do we have the funding? We need two science teachers, one must be earth science. The other we are looking for the best candidate.

There's a specific position called "lead teacher" which is basically someone who's basically a highly qualified teacher and a leadership role - but the school has to be willing to fund them because they're paid a bit more, some schools might not qualify to have the position, or might not want it...

Have him apply for master teacher through new contract, or at a middle school that participates in the TIF grant
